Aluminum Wiring
Why use a P.E.
In the 1960's, Aluminum Wiring was used as an alternative to copper wiring.  Over time, the performance of the aluminum has proven to be disappointing.  In response to electrical loads, the aluminum heats up and expands more than copper.  As a result of excess expansion and contraction, aluminum wiring connections can become loose.  Unfortunately, aluminum wiring has been linked to causing electrical fires.  Our Engineer is trained to identify aluminum wiring and advise you towards the proper corrective action.
